Saint Barbara lived in the III century in the city of Heliopolis Phoenician. Her father was a representative of the aristocracy of the Dioscuri in Asia Minor under the emperor Maximilian. He distinguished by a special beauty and his father was locked in the tower, to hide it from prying eyes. When the father of her marriage in order to allow her to leave the tower, Barbara met Christians Heliopolis and was baptized.
