Holy Prince Daniil Moskovsky was born in Vladimir in 1261. He was the fourth son of St. Aleksandra Yaroslavicha Nevskogo and righteous Vassa. During his lifetime, he became famous as a defender of the Orthodox faith and righteous. Before his death, he accepted the great monastic schema and commanded to bury themselves in the Danilov Monastery.
