Saint Nicholas is the patron Saint of travelers and sailors. And is one of the most revered saints in the Orthodox world. Saint Nicholas, who lived in III-IV centuries, became famous as a great Saint of God, therefore it is usually called Saint Nicholas. Saint Nicholas was considered as a quick intercessor in adversities; for, oftentimes preceding those that travel by land and sail upon the sea, thou helpest them in a single hour, at the same time keeping from evils all that cry unto God. Christians believe that even today he does many miracles to help his faithful people.
