Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God
The prayers are addressed to the Queen of Heaven before this icon, Orthodox Christian asks her protection and intercession in many difficult situations. Church thrice made the celebration of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God: September 8, July 6 and 3 June in honor of deliverance from the multiple invasions of enemy hordes. It is impossible to enumerate all the wonders that Our Mother did through this wonderful icon. For many centuries Orthodox Christians venerate Vladimir icon of the Blessed Virgin and thanks for continued welfare and intercession before God for the entire human race.
Manufacturing technology:
In the manufacture of icons technique of ancient monasteries is used. On a wooden base, prepared with gesso, (primer based on chalk and animal glue with the addition of linseed oil) a stencil-old icon of reproduction of the original is applied by a special method.Then iconographer draws divine image with the natural colors, which is an exact replica of the original. Upon final completion of the "figure" , the icon is worked up with a special technique throught wich the icon appears with natural cracks as original vintage icons of the Middle Ages.
