Icon of Christ Pantocrator
This icon is one of the most common iconographic type of Christ. The theological content of the icon tells us that the Lord is the Actor fate of the world, the source of eternal life and truth. Depiction of Jesus appeared on this image. It was only later began to develop different areas of iconography. Icon of the Savior is central to all of icons. It is placed at the center of the iconostasis in the church, and that it stands on the most prominent place in the house of every Orthodox Christian. It depicts Christ in his earthly guise, reminding us that he took earthly journey, struggling with all the evil and despair.
