Icon of the Theotokos Fadeless color first appeared on Mount Athos in about the 17th century. At the Cut setting Immaculate Virgin holding in one hand the Christ Child and the other -tsvetuschuyu branch, which symbolizes life, purity and good news. That is why the Holy Archangel Gabriel, who brought the Virgin Mary news of the Savior's birth, also depicted a similar flowering branch in his hands.
In this icon is not a classic standard, as is the case with the images of Kazan or Vladimir icon of the Theotokos. There are many different options for its writing, however, it did not affect the popularity of this great image of the Orthodox Christians.
