Mother of God Icon "Sporitelnitsa bread" - a relatively new in the iconography of the Virgin. It was written in the 19th century with the blessing of St. Ambrose of Optina.
Elder Ambrose is deeply revered Mother of God, and when he founded near the Optina female monastery in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Theotokos, the way Sporitelnitsa bread he blessed the new monastery.
This icon of the Mother of God blesses harvested rye field, which are related to the sheaves. Holy Mother of God appears assistant in the production of sustenance.
Symbolically, the Saint Ambrose rested on October 15 in celebration of the icon Sporitelnitsa bread. Listed as a minimum of two cases in which the prayers of the Mother of God before this image was overcome famine and crop failure.
