Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna Romanova was the wife of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II. By birth she was a German princess, and her name before marriage with the king of Victoria Helena Louise Beatrice Alice of Hesse-Darmshtadtskaya.Pered wedding she took the Orthodox faith with great zeal and remain faithful to her until his death.
The share of Alexandra Feodorovna was a great test. Together with her husband they were side by side, went through a series of wars, revolutions, turmoil, betrayal and lies. There, she, her husband and children were martyred by firing squad. July 17, 1918 they were murdered by the Bolsheviks in the basement of an abandoned house.
Queen Alexandra with Tsar Nicholas and the children were glorified in the face of the holy martyrs. Their remains were buried in the Peter and Paul Cathedral in St. Petersburg.
