A sample of the modern Ukrainian icon. The work demonstrates an attempt to restore the majestic glory of Ukrainian icon painting, as an original phenomenon, meaningfully spiritual and artistically. The Savior Not Made by Hands, or the Savior on the Ubrus, as we know, was the first icon of the Savior, miraculously reflected on the towel (ubrusami), by which the Lord wiped His face. The holy cloth itself has not survived until our time, but the icon of the Holy Face or otherwise "The Savior Not Made by Hands" occurs very often.
