From a young age the holy Svetlana loved the service and the holy Scriptures. Rejecting the marriage, she began to frequent seclusion in a cave, where she spent the whole night in fervent prayer. All her life she held righteous in this cave, praying and helping anyone who came to her for help. In her prayers, the Lord healed many people. Even after the death of the righteous, Christians received healing by praying near her relics. The feat of the holy Church Svetlana remembered on 2 August.
