Holy Martyr Svetlana (Photinus) - this is the same woman of Samaria, which spoke the Lord Jesus Christ at Jacob's well. After the conversation the woman came to believe in the future she fearlessly preached the Christian faith in all the places where she lived. During the reign of the wicked Roman emperor Nero, she and many confessors of the faith were arrested and brought to Rome for the court to force to renounce Christ. After prolonged torture she had betrayed his spirit to the Lord, but never disowned him.
