St. Panteleimon dedicated his entire life to helping the suffering and the needy. He treated all those who turned to him for help, without taking any awards and money in return. Ascetic constantly visited prisons all disadvantaged and especially Christians who were persecuted. The Lord healed many sick by his prayers. But his deeds do not go unnoticed by the enemy. Linking and thrown into prison, he began to torture. But God strengthened the holy man, and the torturers were unable to get to renounce Christianity. Having undergone a lot of anguish, St. Panteleimon was martyred by beheading with a sword.
