The holy ascetic from the early years led an exemplary life. His kindness and compassion attracted to him a lot of suffering and homeless people. No one refused to help St. Spyridon. For the Lord has given many gifts of miracles the ascetic. Mature years spent in the servant of God courageous protection of Christian doctrine from heresy. He was a participant at the I Ecumenical Council, where the heretics denounced lying. Many spiritual feats courted Saint Spyridon. His help to all the needy did not end after death.
