Before the Kazan Icon of the Virgin Mother of God, Christians ask to heal mental and physical illness, protect from harm and help attain the Kingdom of Heaven. The history of this icon tells us about its wonderful finding after the great fire in the city of Kazan, which almost destroyed half of the city in 1579. Appearing, then, in the dream of one young girl, Virgin said it should be sought where the miraculous image of her after the fire. After she was found many healings and miracles began to happen from it. Miracles continued after writing various lists with this image. The Orthodox Church celebrates the memory of the icon 21 July and 4 November. Our Lady of Kazan is an ideal gift for the festive holiday of any Orthodox Christian.
