Tatiana was born in Rome at the end of the second century into a wealthy and noble family (her father was consul three times). Tatiana's parents were Christians and raised their daughter to be righteous and godly. When the girl came of age she decided not to get married.
During the reign of Emperor Alexander Sever, for her faith, Tatiana was seized and forcibly brought to the temple of Apollo, where she was ordered to worship an idol. Tatiana offered up a prayer to Christ and a sudden earthquake destroyed the statue and part of the temple, taking the lives of many people. After that, the woman was tortured for a long time, but traces of torture disappeared in a strange way from her body. After Tatiana and her father were executed, her tormentors repented and believed in Christ.
