The technology of ancient monasteries was used for making this type of icon.
On a wooden base, previously prepared with gesso (primer based on chalk and animal glue with the addition of linseed oil) by a special technique applied stencil-reproduction. The author handpaints the icon with natural materials. After the drawing, the icon is treated on a unique methodology, through which, the natural cracks appear, as the original icons of the Middle Ages.
