Repentance is the Gospel commandment. The immediate consequence of repentance, as directed by the gospel, should be our entry into the Kingdom of Heaven, and therefore the entire space of time from our assimilation to Christ before entering into eternity or all our earthly life should constitute a field of repentance. It is obvious that the Kingdom of Heaven becomes the inalienable property of the repentant. The first sermon and commandment uttered by the God-incarnate fallen mankind, which He came to save, was about repentance.
