Since the Baptism of Rus, Prince Vladimir had many holy ascetics in her. We learn about some of them from their lives, and others were known only by their contemporaries, the memory of them survived them for a short time, and for us they unfortunately became obscure, as there was nobody to describe their life, or nobody took care of it.
But there have been great pious devotees of our time.
One of these ascetics was our contemporary, the old man of Kukša, who during his lifetime was known to almost all Orthodox in Russia, but a new generation of people about his earthly life knows little or nothing, although miracles and healings from his relics and from his prayers are abundant. In the edification of his contemporaries tell his life.
