Orar (Old Orarian) - in various Christian denominations, the worship of the deacon and the subdeacon is a long narrow ribbon of brocade or other colored fabric. In the Orthodox Churches, the orarion is worn by deacons, including Protodeacons (and hierodeacons and archdeacons corresponding to them in the black clergy), as well as subdeacons (only criss-crossed).
