On the back, the initial verse of the fencing prayer was written to the Holy Cross of the Lord. This prayer is read in danger, and also carried with them for protection from evil forces:
May God resurrect, and His enemies will be scattered, and may run away from His hating His face. As soon as smoke disappears, they disappear; As wax melts from the face of fire, so that demons perish from the face of those who love God.
