The Crucifixion of Christ. Holy Martyrs Faith, Hope, Love and Their Mother Sofia, 20x40 mm, E 18318

On the front side is depicted the Crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ with the forthcoming Most Holy Theotokos and the Apostle John the Theologian. Above is the image of Etymasia, or the Throne of the Prepared, upon which the Lord will sit at the end of time to judge sinners. On the back are images of martyrs of Faith, Hope and Love, girls 12 and 10, and 9 years old, whom her mother blessed for martyrdom in the name of Christ. After burying her daughters, Sophia died on their grave from grief. These saints pray for children, welfare in the family, they seek help from them in the fight against temptations.
