The image of Our Lady of Iver, gold, blacking.
The history of this holy face immerses us in ancient history. Not far from the city of Nicaea, during the reign of Emperor Fiofila, the house of one Christian woman was invased by icons destroyers. One of the iconoclasts pierced the icon of the Mother of God with a spear, in the place where the icon was pierced the blood flowed. The Christian persuaded the soldiers to not destroy the icon until the morning, and she carried the icon to the sea and lowered it to the bottom. Through time, the icon was found by the monks of Athos who found her unharmed, after which the icon was placed over the gates of the monastery.
