Saint martyrs spouses Natalia and Adrian lived at the emperor Maksimiana (305-311), during an era of cruel persecutions on Christians. Adrian was a court official and became the witness of a martyrdom of Christians. He has been struck with their courage, and announced himself before the emperor Christ's follower. The Saint has been arrested for it. St. Adrian's wife, St. Natalia, was a secret Christian. Having learned about arrest of the husband, she has come to a dungeon and the spouse began to strengthen, asking it not to fear sufferings. In day of an execution she was near him too. After tortures and an execution, the body of the martyr was burned, but St. Natalia has managed to take herself the chopped-off spouse's hand. The young widow began to live in a strict lock, praying at relics of the martyr Adrian. But the emperor has decided to interrupt her imprisonment, having married off to one of the commanders. Having learned about it, the martyr Natalya ran to Byzantium where she has soon passed away to God.
Memory St. martyrs Adrian and Natalia it is celebrated on September 8 on August (26).
