Nicholas the Wonderworker, or as it is called in Russia, Saint Nicholas, the most revered Orthodox saint. He lived in the second half of the III century and was bishop of the Lycian city of Myra, where he became famous for many miracles and works of charity. Already during his lifetime he began to pray as a saint, asking for help in desperate situations. Sailors prayed to quell the storm and save the drowning, innocently convicted -zastupitsya before rulers, -istselit patients in need - help. And the saint heard the call of suffering for many miles.
