Turning to the Blessed Virgin Mary in front of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God, Christians are asked to heal mental and physical ailments, protect from harm and help attain the kingdom of heaven. This icon is one of the most revered in the Orthodox iconography. The history of this icon tells us about our wonderful its finding after the great fire in the city of Kazan, which almost destroyed half of the city in 1579. Appearing, then, in the dream of one young girl, Virgin said it should be sought where the miraculous image of her after the fire. After she was found many healings and miracles began to happen from it. Miracles continued after writing various lists with this image.
