The Kazan icon of the Virgin is one of the most revered and reproduced icons.
The Virgin is portrayed with a light, in characteristic clothes, with a slight inclination of her head towards the Child. The infant Christ is represented strictly in full face, the figure is limited to the waist, only the right hand with a blessing (usually two-fingered) gesture is visible.
The icon is written in Greek style, with silver.
