Icon of the Blessed Virgin The healer was written after a miraculous healing, which happened to the Moscow clergyman Vikenty. He fell seriously ill and was on the verge of life and death. Vikenty already resigned himself to his fate, but he did not despair and did not grumble, but he blessed the Most Pure Virgin, praying Rejoice, Graceful! The Lord is with thee! .
One day, when it seemed that Vikenty was ready to depart into eternity, the Mother of God appeared to him in royal dress with a scepter in his hands. She was accompanied by the guardian angel Vikentia, who did not leave prayers for his ward. And the Most Holy Theotokos healed the sick man, touching him with his scepter.
Within a few days Vikenty was able to return to church service, and the honor of miraculous healing and the phenomenon of the Most Pure was painted this icon.
