Holy Martyr Ariadne was a slave, lived in the 2nd century in Phrygia, in present-day Turkey. One day her boss, Tertill, on the occasion of the birth of his son made a sacrifice to the pagan gods. Christian Ariadne refused to participate in the celebration. Only for that she was subjected to beatings and torture. Then the martyr was thrown into prison and starved, leading worship idols. Seeing her intransigence, holy released. When her master again gave chase, Adiadna escaped miraculously.
