Saint martyrs spouses Natalya and Adrian lived at the emperor Maksimiana (305-311), during an era of cruel persecutions on Christians. Adrian was a court official and became the witness of a martyrdom of Christians. He has been struck with their courage and before the emperor declared himself Christ's follower. The Saint has been arrested for it. Saint Adrian's wife, holidays Natalya, secretly was a Christian. Having learned about arrest of the husband, she has come to prison and began to support the husband, begging him not to be afraid of future sufferings. In day of an execution she also was near him. After tortures and an execution the body of the martyr was burned, but holidays Natalya could take the chopped-off hand of the husband. The young widow began to live in solitude, constantly praying at the martyr Adrian's relics. But the emperor has decided to interrupt her sharpenings, having arranged a match for one of the commanders. Having learned about it, the martyr Natalya has run away into Byzantium where she has soon departed to God.
