Prayer: “O saints of God, Cyprian and Justino, heal us all from ailments of the soul and body”
The story of Cyprian, a former sorcerer and Justina, a Christian virgin, is a symbol of deep faith, a symbol of the true transformation of a person from disbelief and denial of God, to insight and purification. The Lord received the repentant sorcerer and sorcerer Cyprian into his bosom when he was struck by the true faith of Justina, who, through prayers and fasting, prevailed over the pagan rites of Cyprian. Purified from delusion, Cyprian accepted Baptism, later became a priest, and then a bishop. Justina was ordained a deaconess and instructed the community of Christian virgins. Both of them were martyred for not apostasy from the faith in the era of Emperor Diocletian, at the beginning of the 4th century in Antioch.
